US: Grid Interoperability & Smart Framework

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is developing their 4.0 version framework that will reap benefits on an economic and environmental level when it comes to the interconnectivity capabilities of devices and equipment. If the grid continues to operate the way it has for decades, the major goals in the Paris Climate Agreement will not be met.
