US: Connecticut utility regulators propose electric storage program

The state’s regulators are proposing to get batteries widely deployed to serve both as emergency backup power in ratepayers’ homes and virtual power plants that can feed the grid during peak demand, this will be the first of it’s kind in the state. This is an example of the emerging consumer contribution to future energy grid resilience and signals a meaningful commitment to technology and consumers.
