UK: Government to improve EV charging experience

The government has launched a new consultation to improve the consumer experience around EV charging, with particular reference to quick payment processes, network reliability, pricing transparency and open data. The government wants consumers to have access to a range of software solutions that will easily allow them to access chargepoint locations, compare charging costs and experience a hassle-free payment process. “Reliable and easily accessible charging infrastructure is key to making the switch to EV’s” said transport secretary, Grant Shapps.
