UK beats coal free electricity generation record

The UK has beaten its previous record for the longest period of coal free electricity generation on Tuesday 28th April 2020, beating the 18 days set in 2018. Low energy demand & changing home usage patterns remove the need for coal plants to operate during the final stage of their contribution to the energy mix.
