Working closely with a team of Project Managers to support and drive forwards a portfolio of programmes, projects and new engagements.

Description of Responsibilities

The Senior PSO Analyst is responsible for supporting the Head of Projects to oversee and govern the delivery the Utiligroup portfolio of change, including all projects, programmes and small change items that span all customer facing project work and Industry change related projects.

Supporting the Head of Projects to:-

  • Manage the delivery of the Project Portfolio through the use of efficient and effective governance
  • Monitor the success of the Project Portfolio through the appropriate use of reporting metrics and KPI’s
  • Continuously review the status of the Project Portfolio against Time/Cost/Quality/Scope targets
  • Ensure projects are delivered as lean as possible, with a focus on timely project closure and handover to BAU
  • Deliver a monthly Portfolio Management Board to support the delivery of the Portfolio across the business
  • Monitoring the financial health of the Portfolio against company revenue targets
  • Manage the ‘front door’ process through assisting in pre-sales engagements to correctly size, scope and cost Projects by continuously refining baselines for the use of estimating and by supporting the delivery of new quotations
  • Highlight Portfolio level risks, issues and dependencies that need close attention and action
  • Promote the sharing of Portfolio lessons learned across the Projects team and beyond
  • Manage the allocation of projects within the Projects team through the use of relevant MI
  • Support the review & approval of all necessary project related commercial documents such as Statements of Work’s and Change Requests
  • Continuously improve the Project delivery processes, procedures and frameworks utilised by the Projects team to ensure best-in-class project delivery to our Clients

Supporting the Senior Project Management Team by:-

  • Managing the collation and distribution of Programme level status packs, including updating Programme level plans and RAID’s;
  • Organising Programme level meetings, supporting minute taking, including the tracking and managing of programme actions and responses from stakeholders
  • Maintaining up-to-date, efficient and relevant Project delivery templates
  • Reporting and monitoring programme budgets including revenue forecasting and cost tracking
  • Overseeing Programme resource forecasting and actuals tracking including timesheet booking
  • Keeping Programme level documentation stored in the most consistent and relevant way

Supporting the Project Management Team by:-

  • Providing the tools and templates to deliver project-level status tracking such as Highlight Reporting and financial tracking in the most efficient and effective way to aid Portfolio level reporting
  • Supporting the delivery of continuous improvements to further refine and streamline Project delivery
  • Deliver PSO admin requests in a timely manner to keep Portfolio records maintained
  • Maintaining a clear consistent baseline of Project Management documentation to support all Project delivery frameworks

Qualifications, Attributes & Experience

The following areas of experience are mandatory:

  • Able to demonstrate experience of providing support to a Portfolio or Programme providing the Senior Level support as detailed in the responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Experience of supporting a Project Management department and / or programme budgets > £1m / 4,000 man days of work
  • Supporting the delivery of large projects & programmes into commercial organisations
  • P30 Foundation / Practitioner (not essential)
  • Energy industry knowledge and experience (not essential)
