Utiligroup Powers Up for Rapid Growth with New Office

Utiligroup – Chorley-based provider of software solutions and services to the energy and utilities industry – has celebrated its recent growth by moving in to a new 16,000 sq ft office facility.

The new headquarters, based on Euxton Lane, Chorley, now houses the provider’s current team of 142. The relocation has also delivered the resources and space required to support the company’s upcoming recruitment drive across departments such as consultancy, client solutions and development.

In preparation for the move, Utiligroup invested £400,000 in the fit-out of the site. Amenities for the staff to enjoy include an American diner, a ‘chill out’ and games room and themed meeting areas.

Matthew Hirst, CEO of Utiligroup and Chorley resident  said: “After London, the North West is now the second largest hub for the innovation of technology and digital in Europe. Evidence of the growth and strengthening of the region’s reputation can be seen in the diversification and differentiation of businesses, as well as the increase in coverage surrounding the ‘Northern Powerhouse’.”

Earlier this year, Utiligroup ranked among the North’s top 50 fastest growing companies within the digital technology sector at the GP Bullhound Northern Tech Awards.

Matthew added: “There has never been a more exciting time to be running an innovative technology business in the region and we are extremely excited to be investing in the area while creating roles for its residents. It’s the perfect opportunity for individuals in the area to showcase their talent and skill!”

An official opening event was  held on the 2nd of October and  attended by local dignitaries, including Rt Hon Lindsay Hoyle MP, Councillor Alistair Bradley and Gary Hall, Chief Executive at Chorley Council.
