Festive Fun at Utiligroup raises £2,000 for St Catherine’s Hospice

Staff at Utiliigroup delved deep into their wardrobes and their pockets to raise a staggering £2,000 with their Christmas jumper efforts for local charity, St Catherine’s Hospice. The majority of the 290 strong team of employees at Utiligroup donned an array of sparkly, jingly and cheesy Christmas jumpers in aid of donating to the hospice, with generous contributions from the company bosses the total reached £2,000.

Utiligroup provide software solutions and services to the energy and utilities industry and as a business are continually looking for new, inspiring ways to fundraise for this great charity. They have partaken in numerous different events over 2017 to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice. This included ‘Tough Mudder’ back in September which raised a fantastic £2,680. Danielle Buchan, Utiligroup’s HR Director, said: “The Christmas Jumper Day was great fun and really kick-started the festivities at Utiligroup, putting everyone in the Christmas spirit.

“St Catherine’s is a cause very close to our hearts so we’re delighted to be able to donate further funds to support their important work.”

Emma Jacovelli, Head of Community Engagement at St Catherine’s, said: “It was wonderful to have Utiligroup taking part in Christmas Jumper Day for the hospice – they all looked fantastic and we’re delighted to hear they all enjoyed the day so much!

“Their ongoing support of the charity is so appreciated. The funds raised will make a real difference to our work as we care for local people facing conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure at this special time of year – helping them to have a comfortable, peaceful Christmas together with their loved ones.”

St Catherine’s Hospice is dedicated to providing the best quality of life for those people affected by life-limiting conditions and their families across Chorley, Longridge, Preston and South Ribble. The charity is very close to the heart of Utiligroup as a company and they will continue fundraising and showing their support.
